A Crow in the Corn Shaman

$699.00

This piece is part of the No More Stolen Sisters series. Inspired by the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women movement, A Crow in the Corn Shaman is made predominately from salvaged metal.

The image of the Navajo hero twin Monster Slayer, plasma cut by hand into the reclaimed steel, is based on a petroglyph found in Crow Canyon near Farmington, New Mexico (photo #9). The arm is an old construction snap tie. A blue patina covers the repurposed copper sheet on the lower portion of the body. The resin head features a red hand, the symbol of the MMIW cause, set against the backdrop of stars in the night sky.

Dimensions:

28.5 inches tall

11 inches wide

Half of the net profits from this sale go to Native Hope (nativehope.org) and Native Women Running (nativewomenrunning.com).
