Thunderbird Kachina

$699.00

This piece is part of the No More Stolen Sisters series. Inspired by the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women movement, the Thunderbird Kachina is made predominately from salvaged metal.

The image, plasma cut by hand into the reclaimed steel, is based on a petroglyph found near the Little Cottonwood River in Minnesota (photo #7). The wings come from part of an old sawmill bandsaw blade. The resin head features a red hand, the symbol of the MMIW cause, set against the backdrop of stars in the night sky.

Dimensions:

26 inches tall

26.5 inches wide

This marriage of rustic and fine art makes a special addition to any home.

Half of the net profits from this sale go to Native Hope (nativehope.org) and Native Women Running (nativewomenrunning.com).
