Shake the Dust Off of Your Wings Kachina Metal Sculpture

$2,499.00
sold out

The Shake the Dust Off of Your Wings Kachina is made almost solely from salvaged metal. The body and wings come from old sawmill bandsaw blades. Industrial friction discs form the head and legs. The base is a harrow disc blade. And an old rake head forms the antlers. Notice that a few of the tines or teeth have been bent through the years, adding character.

Plasma cut by hand, the bird image is based on a petroglyph found in Rinconada Canyon in New Mexico.

Watch a video of this piece at home in the snow below.

A note on the chimes: Depending on preference, the copper chimes can be spaced closer together (for more sound) or farther apart (less sound and a better look). They can also be removed altogether.

Dimensions:

86 inches tall

55 inches wide

More than seven feet tall, this marriage of rustic and fine art makes a special addition to any outdoor space.

A portion of the net profits from this sale go to Native Hope (nativehope.org) and Native Women Running (nativewomenrunning.com).
